ST HUGO COONAWARRA CABERNET (case of 6)
ST HUGO COONAWARRA CABERNET (case of 6)
This wine is made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon grown in Australia's famous Australia region, an area considered by many as Australia's best Cabernet region. The result is a full-bodied wine displaying a rich, textured palate of concentrated cassis and berry fruit flavours with well-integrated tannins. Ideally paired with red meat dishes and in particular, rib eye on the bone or a macadamia crusted lamb rack.
The unfaltering regional classic, St Hugo Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from vines on iron-rich terra rossa soils over limestone. After batch vinification the wine is matured in primarily new French (55-70%) and American oak for 18 to 24 months. Typified by refined blackcurrant, dark chocolate and sage aromas, underlying cedar and savoury oak, and a long tannin plume at the finish. With its beautiful concentration, overall balance and fruit complexity, St Hugo has a great reputation for cellaring.
